About Give to Lincoln Day

Give to Lincoln Day is a 24-hour event in which every donation gets a proportional share of a $500,000 match fund made possible by Lincoln Community Foundation and generous sponsors. Gifts made between May 1 and May 26 count toward the match.

To take advantage of the Match Fund, we strongly encourage our supporters to give through Give to Lincoln Day's online portal or by writing a check to the LCF office at 215 Centennial Mall S Ste 100Lincoln, NE  68508.

NOTE: All donations made for Give to Lincoln Day will go toward our 4 Community Programs. If you'd like to support one specifically, be sure to include that in the comments section when you give online or as a memo if sending a check.

Community Programs to Support

  • NEW Send- a-Kid-to-the-Fair Experience: Provides free tickets and transportation for underserved people to attend all three motorsports and carnival, behind-the-scenes tour of ag education displays and animals. $25 provides tickets for 1 kid and their parents/supervisor.

  • NEW Fairgrounds Non-Profit Rental Grants: Enables local nonprofit and youth groups to hold their own event at the fairgrounds, free of charge. $1,000 funds a day-long event – you may designate the group if you prefer or we'll help find a deserving group.

  • Adopt-a-Volunteer Fund: Support TWO non-profits with ONE donation–you'll help your always busy, non-profit fairgrounds find much-needed help while raising money for local nonprofits and youth groups willing to work as a fundraiser. $100 supports 1 volunteer to work a full day–goes entirely to the nonprofit they're "working" for.
  • Fairgrounds Work Force Re-Entry Program: Support our service to Nebraska Department of Correctional Services, and others needing to fulfill community service hours. You get to help these community members aquire valuable skills and experiences to stay gainfully employed after their court-mandated service. $800 supports one-day cost for an 8-person work crew for lunch and supervision.
